There is no doubt that being in a long distance relationship can be tough. Everywhere you look you see couples sharing a drink, having dinner or walking through the park holding hands.  While your long distance romance doesn’t allow you to see your special someone everyday, there are things that you can do as a couple even though you’re apart.  Here are a few ideas to get you started.

In my long distance relationship we fall asleep together on the phone every night. Even though we live in different countries we don't have to worry about the cost because of skype. : ) For around $5 a month he can call phones in the United States (where I live) and talk for up to 6 hours a day. If I'm at home we talk on skype for free, and when he's out I can call a skype number that reroutes to his cell phone. Sometimes it's hard to go to sleep at the same time, because of the six hour time difference. When that happens I'll call him and wake him up when I am ready to go to bed. He doesn't mind. : )This has worked really well for the past year. I can't wait till we don't have any use for skype. Besides talking to family back home. (I'm pretty sure there are other alternatives to skype out there as well. It's just what is convenient for us.)

Another idea along the online gaming line of thought, if you have a tablet (or are handy with your mouse) you can play things like online pictionary, or collaborate on a drawing. We haven't tried these things yet, but they sound like extra fun if you do them while talking to your sweetheart (that way you can hear each other's laughter.) <3

"Fall asleep together.
After one of your marathon long distance romance phone calls, say goodnight, but don’t hang up. There is something about hearing the other person’s breathing start to slow as they drift off to sleep that will help you feel wonderfully connected. "

i cannot imagine the cost of overseas call charges!!!!
