I met my boyfriend Pat about 7 months ago through a friend. He was actually my friend's date to a dance. But needless to say feelings slowly developed between us and we have now been going out for a little over five months. He's my best friend. I have never felt more comfortable with someone and I know he's an amazing guy. There's never a moment where I am bored with him. We don't go on many dates as it is but I feel that now is a critical time to be thinking about our future together being that I have decided to go to a university 4 hours away from his. I really do feel that things between us could work, but I am scared that by staying in this relationship I will be missing out on something more important, which is finding myself. At the same time, I think being apart in college will give each other room to grow yet remain in contact. I know that this will be hard and we will have to establish our relationship before we leave, but I am afraid about how things will play out. There are many factors in this decision and you can see that I can get stressed easily so please let me know what you think!

why would you let go of your best friend?
both of you will grow and change, but it's wise to have the focus on growing together if you want it to become a life long thing.

what are you looking for when you're trying to find yourself? and why can't you do that with a great boyfriend that supports you? and a LDR is also a good test for a relationship, that it's the person you love no matter where you are. and that you'll be strong together even though you're apart.

It's hard and it takes time and effort to keep a relationship going. but it's absolutely worth it if you have more to win than loose on it. what are you afraid of?

lots of factors, sure. but remember it only will work if you're both up for it. and 2 are better than 1, so you'll make it if you fight for it together.

you can get stressed easily, what do you mean by that?

good luck with everything
