Your Guide to Long Distance Relationships

I met my husband in Canada.  We had always planned to move to Angola (his home country), and after 3 years of marriage he went back to set up house.  I am Canadian and waited until he sent for me.  I visited for 3 months but returned to Canada due to the fact that I need my Angolan papers, so he now comes back and forth.  We have been married for 5 years, I just had his son and am still working on my residency status.  It is hard, and it doesn\'t help to hear people ask, \"How do you do it?...it must be so difficult for you.\"  Well, duh yeah, of course it is, but we do what we must.  I myself had never had any thoughts of abandonment and I trust my husband wholeheartedly.  Communication is the key.  He knows I love and adore him and I know he loves me...how do I know?...my confidence was definitely sealed when (before he left) my husband tatooed my name to his arm;)
